Field Inspector position
Polikar Engineering Solutions (PES) is a South Florida structural engineering firm specializing in forensic engineering, design & development, and construction management. As our firm continues to grow, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Field Inspector to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to assess structural conditions and identify deficiencies.
- Document and report findings in a clear, detailed, and professional manner.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure inspections align with project requirements and goals.
- Verify compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and design specifications.
- Monitor construction and restoration projects to ensure quality control and adherence to plans.
- Perform field testing and collect samples as needed for forensic evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members to address any concerns or discrepancies during inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, photographs, and other documentation for project files.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and practices, particularly in South Florida's unique building environment.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in varying field conditions, including outdoors and on elevated surfaces.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and technology to document findings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
