In light of significant changes in Florida’s building safety regulations, PES has shifted its focus to assisting our community with complying with building recertifications, milestone inspections, and the newly mandated structural integrity reserve study (SIRS). Our team spends all the time necessary to discuss various aspects of inspections and regulatory programs, providing detailed explanations to help clients understand and navigate these changes.
A notable example of our commitment to customer education and service is our intervention in saving the largest old-age home in South Florida from potential shutdown. Faced with a lack of awareness of recertification requirements, the 100,000-square-foot facility risked fines and possible closure. PES promptly intervened, assessed the building’s safety, and secured an extension by affirming compliance with the authorities.
Looking ahead, PES aims to educate a broader audience on construction laws and guidelines. Through a straightforward approach, we seek to explain the consequences of neglecting structural maintenance and provide simplified overviews of a building’s life cycle.
Initially focusing on coastal areas with acute infrastructure challenges, PES plans to eventually reach a national audience.
